Our kids love Sushi Train. And let's be honest, so do us grown-ups. The favourite is Crispy Chicken Udon with Curry based broth. So, when I was looking for a fun way to get the kids to eat more variety I created my copy cat version at home. See how I make it.

My little one is turning 2 next week and so obviously I'm in party planning mode. Most of my kids' parties have been at home so now it's a simple process. But, if you're not a natural party planner the idea of having your child's next birthday party at home might be a frightening and overwhelming thought. Especially if you've been to other parties that make the simple backyard gathering look like a carnival's stopped by to perform their greatest ever act.

However, there is very little information out there for women who are pregnant or have newborns so I've gathered all the information I could and put together this resource for you.

t doesn't matter if it's your first or third baby (or eighth, and if so- go mama!), your body will change. That fact can cause so much anxiety, concern, and pressure for new mamas. I get it. I've been there. It is possible though to put on a swimsuit and feel good. If you came across this blog looking for postpartum workouts or a diet to lose your 'baby body' then I'm sorry, I can't offer that. Because there is nothing wrong with you.

Baby Showers are fun right?! Well, that depends on who you ask. Some people couldn't think of anything worse. Others feel that pregnancy calls for the biggest shower with all the games, all the food and all the people. And you know what, however you feel about them... it's totally okay. 

For some people though the baby shower (or possibly the lack of) can cause stress, overwhelm and heart ache. This can often come from others having a lot of opinion and thoughts about what kind of Shower you should be having and forget that the Baby Shower is meant to be about what makes your heart happy.

Pregnancy is a beautiful time. As a woman you get to grow an actual human. One that you'll get to love and cuddle. You spend hours thinking about your baby, imaging them laying next you. You can feel you heart growing. But, when you stop to think of you, your body and the changes you're experiencing you're not feeling so good.

Recycled fabrics are becoming the next buzz word in fashion. And yes, when you do your research into sustainability some would point out the downfalls. You're pregnant. There's so much to think about, and so many changes to get on top of. But, your mind wanders to the part where you get to hold your baby. You feel the excitement, the love. But you also feel worried about looking after this little creature. Firstly, I want you to know that it's really normal to feel that way. 

The suns out. It’s a perfect beach day. You and your partner look at each and give the "let's go" look. You quickly get excited. But then, then just as quickly you realise it's not quite that easy now. Because now you have a gorgeous squishy baby. The beach still sounds fun, but there’s so much more to think about. What do we pack? Will bub like it? How will we feed on the beach? What about nappy changes?

What is the Mother & Sun life? It’s knowing that being in nature fulfils you, and so you immerse yourself in that, even through the stages of motherhood. It’s being a water baby and wanting to pass this on to your children. It’s loving adventures and remembering that part of you after you become a mother.
